The dispute concerned the sale of a real estate investment intended for residential development located in the centre of the Polish city of Gdańsk. The property owner had concluded a preliminary sales contract with the developer. However, the deal never closed which led to a dispute between the parties that ended in court.

Represented by a leading law firm, the developer filed a lawsuit against the local property owner demanding the conclusion of the sales contract. The prominence of the developer and its representative law firm gave rise to initial reservations on the part of the property owner regarding their chances of success in taking legal action.

Kowalski - Obidzińska - Jackiewicz have represented the property owner throughout the dispute. Following a two-year litigation process, the case for the conclusion of the contract was dismissed.

Kowalski - Obidzińska - Jackiewicz are now exploring compensation for their client in connection with the injunction to sell the property during the legal dispute.
